IN SUMMER. Swimming, diving, licking ice cream, enjoying the long days, and unwinding with the scent of blooming meadows – that's summer at the Pesentheinerhof, right on Lake Millstatt. In autumn, colorful leaves rustle beneath our feet, we hike to luminous alpine pastures, and let ourselves be enchanted by the clear air and golden rays of sunshine.
In winter, the lake lies quiet and mysterious before us, we trudge through snow-covered forests, make our turns in small, fine ski areas and warm ourselves up afterwards in cozy guest rooms.
When nature awakens again in spring, the first buds sprout, and the sun makes the water sparkle, we're already out and about again – at the lake, on the alpine pasture, or simply barefoot in the meadow. Every season is a little adventure – and it's most beautiful here with us, at the Pesentheinerhof.

Hike
Tomorrow we'll start early. Before the sun peeks over the mountains, we'll shoulder our backpacks and climb up to the alpine pasture. I can already hear the ringing of cowbells, smell the fresh meadows, and feel the clear, cool air.
Take a leisurely stroll along the slow trails, hike along the lakeshore or climb up to the Granattor, where the view opens up far over Lake Millstatt.
Up here, time seems to stand still – and every step feels light.
Biking
Early in the morning, when the sun paints the peaks golden red, we hop on our bikes. The wind blows through our hair, and the forests smell of resin and fresh earth.
Ride leisurely along the lakeside bike path, stopping frequently to enjoy the view. Or climb steeply up narrow trails, where the panorama at the top takes your breath away.

Winter
The lake lies before us in its well-deserved winter rest, the mountains all around are covered with a blanket of snow and the days are getting shorter. Enjoy winter days away from the hustle and bustle without having to do anything. After a hearty breakfast, enjoy the cold, clean winter air and the glistening sunlight on a walk in the forest overlooking the tranquil lake. Sunny skiing on the Goldeck, ice skating on Lake Weissensee, or simply relaxing at the Millstatt bathhouse. When the snow crunches beneath our snowshoes and our gaze sweeps over the shimmering lake, we realize: winter at the Pesentheinerhof is simply special.
